Safety Testing & Construction

The products made by M Design Village are among the safest and most durable nursery furniture that one can buy. Safety is engineered into each piece of furniture that we manufacture with extra ordinary attention to detail. We use only the finest quality materials and build each piece to meet or exceed U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) safety standards. We are committed to providing the best quality furniture in the industry.

Safety Testing

Product safety is a priority at M Design Village. Comprehensive supervision and rigorous testing for product safety is integral to all aspects of our manufacturing processes. You can have peace of mind that all M Design Village products are coated with finishes that are in compliance with Federal Regulation 16CFR1303 for lead content and have been certified by an independent third party testing laboratory recognized by both the American Society for Testing and Materials and the Consumer Products Safety Commission. Additionally, all Oxford Baby cribs are JPMA Certified.

JMPA Certified

JPMA's certification seal is available only to manufacturers who voluntarily submit their products for testing. Only after the product passes rigorous testing can it display the certification seal. By carrying JPMA certified products, retailers show their support of the program their customers The Directory of Certified Products is updated continuously on the JPMA Web site, JPMA.org.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) protects the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from more than 15,000 types of consumer products including cribs and toys. The CPSC has contributed significantly to the 30 percent decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years.

Construction

Materials: We use high quality hardwoods and wood veneers in all of our furniture. We take pride in only working with the most experienced and reputable factories to ensure superior products.

Feel the Difference: M Design Village products are sturdy and long lasting. Because of superior engineering, hardwood construction and high quality hardware you can feel the strength and craftsmanship when you test our products for yourself.

Drawers: Our drawer boxes are made with 5-piece all wood construction using English Dovetail joinery in all four corners for added strength. We use only the finest glides systems available to ensure smooth operation for many years.

Finishes: Prior to finishing, all M Design Village products are hand sanded and inspected. Using only finishes made especially for M Design Village, each is hand applied, in a multi-step process to ensure a rich and consistent look. All of our furniture is then sealed with a special top coat for added durability. M Design Village finishes are of the highest quality and tested regularly to be free of lead and heavy metals.
